Toddler Milestones

Let’s review 15 months - 24 months. These are the months I want to focus in on, as they are often times the ages I get referrals or parents asking if their child is on track. Ideally we would want to see the following skills emerging around these developmental ages. I’ve narrowed the skills down to the most prominent, and what I look for upon initial parent interview!

15 months - Uses 10 words

15 months - Follows simple directions, points, and uses gestures

18 months - Uses 50 words

18 months - Points to pictures in books and identifies body parts

24 months - 200 - 300 words (uses 2 word phrases)

24 months - Follows spatial concept directions. Answers yes/no questions. Listens to stories.
